what color walls goes with a green marble fireplace?

the fireplace has white timber trim and green marble.

It’s a stand type fireplace (a leg up from the floor).

The big room it’s in adjoins a kitchen with black cherry timber and black green stone and stainless steel appliances.

As Result what color do I do the walls? There’s as well a big French exit so the space gets lot of of light.

And has a medium color ruby oak floor.

Somebody who knows how to decorate, please assist!

A very nice deep burgundy goes great with most greens.

And since your room gets lots of light it should not make the room appear to much smaller.

Without knowing what color “green” the marble is it is hard to tell you what color to use.

I would probably choose a medium pale green shade as close as possible to both the granite and the marble so it would coordinate with both of them and tie it together. Do not use a “mint” green color as it will kill the warmth in your cherry cabinets and make your stainless steel look harsh and cold. Dark green will compete with the granite and make the marble stand out. I don’t think that would be a good choice. A nice medium color would be a better choice.

You could also go with a warm beige that compliments your cherry cabinets. Since it is not a “color” it should also go well with both the granite and marble.

Good luck. Your house sounds beautiful.

How about a brown? Like “sawdust” by sherwin williams. Check it out:
