We have light cabinets and brownish/cream granite. Below is the backsplash we picked . We added some metal (bronze) accent tiles too. I love it. Good luck with yours!
** I don’t agree with limiting your design ideas to fit with what potential buyers may want to see if you decide to sell your house someday down the road. (see Craig’s answer). I’ve never understood why people would decorate based on what others might like in 10 years. If and when you decide to sell, you can always change things and make everything neutral. But for now – do what you like!

travertine only comes in so many colors, but with the oak and brown granite, any travertine you pick would look nice. consider using a tumbled marble, maybe on a diagonal with stone accent tiles. tumbled marble comes in several colors as well, so you will have plenty of options.

I would suggest a tumbled marble backsplash. Try matching the color of the backsplash to the color of the floor. Stay away from chrome-looking tiles or stainless steel backsplash tiles. They will look tacky and outdated in 5 years and could bring up some questions if you ever do sell your home. Once a buyer sees something they don’t like, they start to see other things they don’t like.
