Can a civilized and cultured marble counter top help a full 20-30 gallon aquarium?
In my bedroom i’m planning to take a fish tank. I’m planning on it being to be around 20-30 gallons.
As Result we are speaking about 166.8 to 250.2 pounds in terms of water. With a high estimation of 60 pounds of another things (filter, weight of tank, rocks, filter, decorations, etc.) In total, the aquarium will be roughly 226.8 to 310.2 pounds. I was originally planning to kit it on my counter top, which is civilized and cultured marble.
The reality of the question is that civilized and cultured marble can bob or warp with exorbitant weight. I’m not well informed enough around cultured marble however I don’t need to kit the aquarium up before I have a good quite idea that it will be ok to kit it up t

What you wana do is divide the weight of the fish tank by the area of the tank bottom and that will give you lbs/sq ft.
A water bed weighs a lot but when the weight is distributed over the area of the floor its little more than the weight of a refrigerator per square foot, taking into consideration that your wood(maybee homosote)floores are reinforced every 16 inches with joists. Read the specs on your countertop and see if it will support the weight/sq. Ft-or simply re-enforce the bottom of it somehow

well you could do this, either get enough rocks, or an object that weight that much weight, and put it in the marble.

Well, if it is cultured marble that is meant to be used as for counter tops and not the other kinds like shower panels then it should be fine. If you cultured marble has a bullnose then you might want reinforce the bottom of the marble with a thick peice of plywood and gluing all around in between with liquid nails (this will help prevent the marble to warp and keep it straight).
